Sony Alpha 7 R II Camera Launching 2015

Hi, I am back.

This event happened was only few days ago, I did make up for 5 models for launching new Sony camera, called Alpha 7 R II. Location was Shangrilla Rasa Sentosa. Thanks to my dear friends Kamal who eventually brought me to this project.

There were total 8 models. I did 5 of them. They were divided into 2 posts: Outdoor (in which I did makeup for 3 girls) and indoor (in which I did 2 more makeup). Unfortunately the picture of 2 indoor posted girls were forgoten to take. Thanks to my "always forgetful" about taking picture. Now, I kind of regret it, the aftermath feeling when forgeting about documentation. 

Okay... The story was that We were asked to do touch up and  standby to watch over the make up for those models who posted outdoor. Yes, they were to be posted under the sun. 

Without doubt my foundation "secret" mixture perform well. 👏👏👏

Lying under the shades on the beach, looking at the sea of Sentosa, watching those photographers taking pictures while the models were busy acting. Two of them were asked to blow bubles which I think the purpose was to be captured by that new camera called Alpha7 RII.

Another sample of featuring perfect eye makeup for oriental eyes. It's capture clearly in this makeup done for a prenuptial photoshoot.

The bride has unique oriental eyes which is very adorable but to some Asian ladies, the expectation of bigger more pop up eyes are crucial especially on a big wedding day. 

Contouring the eye without showing up harsh dark color, instead blending the mixture of natural color, combining with the skin tone of the bride, making her look very natural, but still boosting her beauty. The right application of eyelashes and choosing the right eyelashes for each individual eye is taking important part for creating adorable queen of the wedding day look. 

In other word, caring about the detail, is the key workmanship. Including making the skin of the bride look flawless by applying correct texture of foundation for the Actual Day Wedding.

Pre-wedding Makeup for Esther Bride

It's collaboration with gown boutique supplier. Esther, the bride is wearing Rhinestone barbie style ball gown. Thanks to Amour Bridal. the shop is located at Orchard plaza, and it has variety of good quality gown.

Photographed by Jeri Soh, the pictures turn up to be romantic dreamy victorian, totally suit with the theme that was expected to create lovey dovey love story of the loving couple.


Signature eye makeup by Lili Helmy MakeupSpecialist on Esther eye, combining the perfect natural eye makeup with the right application of eye lashes, using extremely light weight eyelashes which has special band/thread. With correct application it can open up the asian eyes, making it look more loveable, bigger and define.

BRIDAL SIDE BUN FOR THINNING HAIR

Looking the best ever is all bride's dream of her wedding day. But sometimes the hair amount is a serious problem for a bride to be.

As makeup artist & hairstylist, to give her glamorous & elegant look, the most important thing is to create volume as much as possible.  I used back comb technic, and crimped iron for her side hair, then create soft curls and pin it up using normal bobi pin.

Total time needed to complete this hairstyle : 30min.
Hair length : Slightly a little longer than shoulder.
Without hair stuffing ; Nor hair extension.

Glamour Photoshoot Makeup

She is a pre-school teacher in Japan, came to the Lion City for a holiday. She was hitched in a photo shoot by Alex, one of the a winner of Harper's Bazaar fashion photography award.

Unfortunately, Ena not willing to give her "before" makeover photo. So Let us start with our own story.

To change her "normal girl next door" to look "Glamourous" instead of being "kawai" or cute in Japanese word, we've agreed on putting her into Contemporary Metal Winged smoky eyes.

The hair styling has an important role to change her over-all look. We don't want her to look "sweet" or "classic", or  "rigid-hair"... Instead, we want her to go with  the feeling of "elegant", evening, glamorous and very contemporary sophisticate.

Soft Smokey Eyes for Bride's Sister Day Makeup

What is important in creating soft smoky eyes is the eye shadow depth color applied at the very nearest to the eye line, upper lid and on the water line at the lower lid, then create the smudge carefully not higher than the crease area.

Unfortunately for oriental eyes, the crease area sometimes isn't clear, as there are some eyes typical has bulging flesh eye lid. In this case, the highlight effect might be an issue. I will always stick to matte color to create consistent depth, especially dealing with day makeup where most of the time natural light is more into the exposure throughout the day.

My anonymous subject come with permanent eye lashes extension. It is not a problem at all but applying makeup on her eye lid has to be extra careful since her eyes are quite sensitive. She require me to create more visible, double eye-lid using scotch tape.

Pre-wedding photo shoot couple Linda & Joseph with Tina Andrean GownCreation

I am so happy that I had the oportunity to present this picture. It worth to wait the result for almost a year,
The shoot was in march last year 2013, and the blessed couple released these pictures in January 2014. They have big wedding celebration in Jakarta.
Another reason it is so precious because Linda was wearing indonesian designer gown .
Wedding for majority of Indonesian is very big celebration. Couples & families do willing to spend abundantly for this typical a full day family event. Everybody knows when It come to choose gown, venue, and decorations for Indonesian, nothing should be compromise. For this reason when Linda came to Singapore she took a group of photographer from Envyou Photography, who used to work closely with the famous designer gown name Tina Andrean. And I am proud to be the chosen makeup artist to doll her up for her 2days photo shoot.
